Our Starmax 180 Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope known as the "Planet Killer" provides a focal length of 2700mm and will zoom into our Moon and the Planets revealing fine details on the Moon's surface such as craters, Jupiter's eye, Saturn's rings and planetary moons.
Nebulae and galaxies can be very large requiring a wide-field telescope to fit them into view. Our Redcat 51 apochromatic refractor provides a short 280mm of focal length and is fitted with a narrow-band astrophotography camera to take long exposure wide-field images projected on a monitor revealing objects not visible with the naked eye.
Our ED80 provides a focal length of 480mm and used for visual observations of objects such as constellations, star clusters and other celestial objects. The ED80's triplet design helps eliminate chromatic aberrations so observers can have images that are free of distortion and have true color rendition.
Have a Solar Party during the next eclipse or to have your guests view details on the Sun's surface. Our ED80 Solar Telescope is fitted either a Hydrogen Alpha "Eyepiece" combined with a dedicated solar astrophotography camera to view the Sun's chromosphere or a white light filter to safely view the eclipse and sun spots.
Starry Nights uses only computer-guided electric German Equatorial Telescope Mounts to guide our telescopes from one celestial object to another. This will allow seamless transition from object to object and continuous object tracking during each imaging session to ensure sharp detailed images.
