Yes, Starry Nights uses special eyepieces with built-in filters specially designed for solar viewing allowing for safe imaging or visual observing of the Sun. 

 In the event of cloudy weather, the session can be rescheduled. 

Definitely! Starry Nights will provide a cellphone bracket to enable you to capture images from our visual telescopes.  Following the Star Party, we can email long-exposure stacked color images of nebulae and galaxies taken by our dedicated astrophotography telescope for an additional fee to cover image post processing.

True.  If you look at a galaxy or nebula through a telescope eyepiece, most will look like a dark smudge and you will see the faint outline of the nebula or core of a galaxy.  

Not True with Starry Nights Astrophotography Telescopes. We use special filters that block light pollution and only capture narrow-band light emitted by nebula such as H-Alpha (HA), Oxygen (OIII), and Sulphur(SII).  Our filters combined with the ability to take long exposures without star trails, allow us to display detailed color images.

Yes, Starry Nights will host campsite Star Parties..  The darker, the better!    Contact us to discuss further as pricing may vary.

In most instances, we can accommodate obstructed views.  We have portable power and can set up in the front yard if necessary.  Worst case we will be limited to Lunar and Planetary if we cannot lock onto Polaris to align our more sensitive telescopes.  Contact us to discuss further and determine the best package for your location.
